Sunday 9/25/16 America’s Faith Sermon is here. This week, it is hard to say what the main subject matter was outside of the events in Charlotte, NC. Another police shooting. Another misinterpretation of the facts by Black Lives Matter types. I can’t help but feel our nation is headed into a terrible period. I pray that we will overcome all of this strife. In my lifetime, it is hard to remember when the black and white community has been so far apart. Well, now that I think of it, not since the OJ Simpson days.
For my family and I personally, we experience this week the worst lightning storm maybe ever. It was at least the top five storms I had been in my life. The fire department was going building to building hunting fires that never came. I thought for sure everything was going to burn down. The area was left flooded for days. It still is flooded outside, but not a mention of any of this on the news. For three days, I walk outside and there is water everywhere, but not a mention of this anywhere. It was a scary storm and we made it without loss of life or property. So I thank the dear Lord for that. My mother used to say that all the time, “Thank the good Lord,” she would say. Well, I try to each and every day.
Gold Almighty, maker of Heaven and Earth and all things seen and unseen. Please lift up the hearts of mankind and help up spread the Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth to include forgiveness and taking care of the poor. Let America’s rise up hand in hand and have the collective strength to soldier on in a world full of killers and love broken pillars. Amen.
